Our team of dedicated and caring teachers is the primary drivers of the many progressive changes we have been able to usher in over the years. They make learning enjoyable and rewarding for children, and instill important values and constructive habits in their formative years. They inspire children to believe in themselves, think big and aspire to be innovators and progressive leaders.

The thrust of our collective effort at HVB Global Academy is determined by these reflections. One of the recent culminations of our efforts is the founding of the Center for Research and Innovation (CRI), a research facility within HVBGA where we research and develop teaching methods that conform to international pedagogical standards but are also aligned with our native cultural values and sensibilities—all with the aim of effecting well-rounded development of our learners so that they may survive and thrive in an uncertain and mercurial world. The relevance and effect of our activities is perhaps best reflected in our response to the Coronavirus pandemic that had disrupted lives of people across the world. At HVBGA, we were able to successfully launch the virtual classrooms in the third week of March, right at the onset of the pandemic. This enabled children to learn remotely from the safety of their homes without losing out on any learning opportunities. It is heart-warming to see how enthusiastically learners have taken to learning in the digital environment.

Our accomplishments over the years and our reputation as one of the city’s top schools are a testament to the success of our education model—an international school with an Indian mind, an Indian heart, and an Indian soul.

Teaching Methodology
The teaching-learning ethos at HVB Global Academy is shaped by the realization that we live in a fast-changing world where existing knowledge is being rendered obsolete and new knowledge is being created at a rapid pace. This raises serio us questions as to how relevant and useful our knowledge and skills will remain in future, and thus,
makes our place in the world precarious and uncertain. Conventional teacher-centric models of education view students aspassive recipients of knowledge, demanded blind obedience, promoted rote learning, exerted inordinate pressure on children to perform, and disregarded diversity in students’ needs. These imperatives have restricted the career prospects of children, stifled their overall development and compromised their well- being for decades. HVBGA is acutely aware of the pressing need for a significant revision of the educational philosophy.

The team at HVBGA has been working relentlessly to reimagine the ethos of teaching and learning to make education egalitarian and a means to actualize students’ innate creative potentials. They do so by making learning inclusive and by effecting, measuring and tracking growth and development of students along five key dimensions: Intelligence Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), Digital Quotient
(DQ), Social Quotient (SQ) and Creative-Consciousness Quotient (CQ). These form the components of the Happiness Quotient (HQ)—measure of a person’s overall physical and mental well-being. HQ is the thrust of all of the teaching-learning activities at HVBGA.

Campus Infrastructure
The school offers an Innovation Hub equipped with devices including a
3D printer, oscilloscope, more info and all sorts of electrical and mechanical tools.
Expert guidance is offered to enable learners to realize their ideas.

At the school’s Robotics Expo and Innovation Hub, students with the
help of teachers get the chance to present their robotics model made
by them.

The students participate in a series of initiatives and events such as the
Model United Nations conference, academic competitions, debate
competitions and school trips that involve community service,
adventure sports and several opportunities for experiential learning.

A course on robotics is embedded in the curriculum for learners of all
grades. The school has a dedicated art studio, music and dance rooms
equipped with all necessary paraphernalia along with guidance from
experts to support learners’ development co- and extra- curricular
areas. HVB also houses fully equipped science labs, a digitalized library,
sensorial rooms to facilitate psycho-motor development of Early Years
learners, and a dedicated space for Martial Arts and Self-Defence.

Sports Co-curricular Education
At HVBGA, various humanitarian projects and study of aesthetic arts
have their share in the students' development along with coached
training in sports, aerobics, gymnastics, dance, music and yoga is
promoted to meet the evolving needs of the 21 st century learners.

The RIGHT initiative –What holistic school education looks like at HVBGA

To think of a holistic education that would be compatible with the demands of 21 st century challenges that face our learners, we need to begin by understanding the utility of the vast body knowledge that lie outside the purview of textbooks, and we need become open to the practical utility of wide range of skills that are not included in formal curricula. Hence, we must work to offer students training in a kaleidoscopic range of topics that are consistent with the nature of challenges they are likely to face in real world, and that adequately equips learners with skills, knowledge and values that will help here them:
1. understand themselves and make sense of the mechanics of the complex and uncertain world around them,
2. apply their knowledge and skills to find feasible and effective solutions to the challenges that face them and the society at large,
3. find their place in the world by making meaningful contributions to the story of human progress.

If we examine general characteristics of individuals who qualify as successful, regardless of their culture, ethnicity, gender, geography, and times they lived in, we find that the three qualities mentioned above invariably emerge, without exception, as the substrates that made their activities relevant, meaningful and useful.
